Kidlit Bloggers

This is one of the blogs that my students and I created for a course on young adult literature. For this particular blog, students weren't required to post and we used the space as a complement to our twice a week sessions. The "Issues of Diversity in Children's and Adolescent Literature" blog shows what it looked like when I had a blog as an instructor and asked students to create and link their own review blogs to the course site.

Yang A.B.C.

So I know this is a little bit ahead of schedule, but I had time to sit down and read Yang's "American Born Chinese" this weekend. At first, I was not into it at all and wanted to stop reading, but by the end found it was worth the read. So, I just wanted to let everybody know don't give up on it, and it might surprise you.     I was disappointed in it. I had high hopes of it but in the end I was disappointed. There are many reasons I feel this way and I'm sure we will get into them on Thursday. I won't give too much away now because all of my complaints I feel would give too much of the plot away but I look forward to discussing it and hearing everybody's opinion on Thursday.
